In 2005, Shinpei Ueno and his Osaka-based crew illuminated the nighttime artistry of Japanese skateboarding. Over 15 years and extensive travels, Ueno curated the underground video series, Lenz, becoming a key influencer in disseminating the nimble-footed style and vibrant explorations of color and environment that now define the local skate scene and embody the distinctive TIGHTBOOTH®︎ aesthetic. The Nike SB x TIGHTBOOTH®︎ Dunk Low Pro, born out of necessity, draws inspiration from the liberating ambiance of nocturnal street skating. Textural overlays mimic the metal grates encountered and utilized during after-dark sessions, while reflective Swoosh panels, a co-branded tongue, and subtle accents of Safety Orange infuse the Dunk with the spirited synergy of TIGHTBOOTH®︎’s visual identity.
