The “Color of the Month” series allows you to indulge your passion for stylish sneakers while also celebrating a little-known piece of Nike’s history. Back in 1984, the original Color of the Month series helped save the AF1 from extinction. At the time, the reissue of this iconic shoe was uncertain. However, a group of visionary shopkeepers in Baltimore noticed that the shoes were selling like hotcakes and predicted that the AF1 would become synonymous with street fashion and culture.
